Jeez
Hope that convertible top is well insulated.
edit: partly amazed it was a convertible top, mostly because it was an Aston

Clearly that guy has all his priorities in check.

Cars in general aren't well insulated... the roof interior is more or less decorative in most cars, and glass has virtually no insinuative properly in single sheet form. The only difference is probably that he may end up with more fog on his windows before the defroster fully gets to work.
(I speak as someone who has driven t-top, targa top, and convertible cars year round... the biggest problem I have had is t-tops leaking)

I think you misspelled 'awesome'. If so, the answer is yes, he's awesome.

RTA bus? That wouldn't happen to be Shaker Heights, would it?

You'd be surprised how easily cars with canvas tops can actually warm up inside. All my 3 miatas (since sold) were excellent winter vehicles, always warming up within a couple blocks of setting off. I suppose having a small cabin contributes towards that as well.

All my Miata's have also had awesome heaters...the late 80s Celica vert I was forced to ride in occasionally however was a horrendous winter car.

I saw an old Saab vert with recent temp tags on it yesterday when it was -13 all day.
"GOOD MUTHAFUCKIN CHOICE, MUTHAFUCKA."
Then I though, "Hmm, this is probably the best time of year to get a deal on a Miata......"

3 degrees? That's balmy!
-15 with -35 windchill today... I didn't know my engine could make the noises it made when starting. Most interesting of all, rowing a gearbox that felt as if you were pushing a stick through mud for the first 3 minutes.

It got as cold at -10 today.

I recognized that wall behind the Aston, my GFs uncle lives right around the corner.

Agreed. Cars are made to be driven

Drove my Boxster to work yesterday in 3* as well. No issues at all. I bet the Aston's top is better insulated, too.
